thrown by heroes
of another belief
to save

the commodity
of commerce.
Leaving behind
shattered families,
shattered buildings,
shattered communities
and broken lives.
Children play
on dangerous ground
losing limbs
to forgotten shells
Does no one listen
does no one care
war breeds hate
hate breeds instability
and instability breeds
an older generation
filled with the misery
of lost paternity.
