Feeling a little jaded, the after effects of last nights soirée. We had friends around for a drink and BBQ. Andy and Pete played guitar and a plesent evening was had by all.

The smile is now forced, only 4 hours work last week, two days this week and nothing on the horizon for the next month. Can't afford to go to college to retrain, and keep the house.
Totally hacked off and open to advice and offers.

I ponder this as I sit here wondering at what stage in my life I will grow up and get a job that takes me seriously!

When I work, I get paid, only minimum wage, but I get paid.

When I don't work, I get nothing... All seems fair at the moment.

Last week I worked, the week before I worked, around about £250 per week, not good, but enough to live on. This week I will earn £54 and the week after who knows, but at the moment it looks like there may be another 1 days work (£54).

I went in to my local college today, the one my daughter goes to, to ask about re-training as an electrician. It takes 1 year full time (I need to work) or 2 years part time 3 evenings a week or 2 days a week.

I could just try and get a job in a local shop, but I don't think I could stand the drudgery. I could, of course, just sit here and hope that the recession doesn't claim me as another statistic!
