So I’m the Wicked Witch I am
an no one knows for why
I got the name from a family friend
It’s really a downright lie!
I am the Wicked Witch of renown
my stability will be down fall
dressed up and collecting firewood
and taking advice from mirrors on walls.
I am ‘Snow Whites’ step mama
I sent her to a death like trance
to remain the prettiest in the land
That would be my chance
She fell asleep as I had planned
and in a glass coffin lay
Some upstart prince then gave her a kiss
now she’s rejoined the fray.

Wow, Simon. What a contest: you and Cindy intrigued, and both with such powerful work? Must go and see...although I have no idea how to begin writing villanelles.
